Housetop Center for Women's Ministries

  • Housetop Center for Women's Ministries is a non-profit educational corporation (#1748475) in the State of Ohio, USA.

"Our mission is to maintain a website that offers information, discussion, and services that keep alive the ongoing discernment relative to the talents, spiritual gifts, and ministries that currently exist and/or that urgently need to be made available to and on behalf of women, more especially, women within the Roman Catholic Church. The website currently offers free access to an extensive library of books, articles, and official documents in English and other foreign languages that are relevant to the issue of women's ordination at all level of official ecclesiastic ministry. This site also offers online discussions, blogs, testimonials, pictures, art, reflections, reports of events, and support groups. These activities will be modified and expanded as our volunteers, our resources, and the expressed needs of our women participants evolve. The initial website is located at www.womenpriests.org."

    The Trustees are:

  • Deborah Rose-Milavec MA Theol

  • Janet Kalven

Recommendation

Addresses in the USA!"Www.womenpriests.org has become a unique resource for our movement and for all who promote the ordination of women. You have made classic texts accessible to all which could only be consulted in libraries. You rally international scholarship in support of our cause. You prove the cultural prejudice of past theology by irrefutable documentation. You are both academically reliable and pastorally sensitive. You reach out to many countries through English, Spanish and other major languages."
Genevieve Chavez , Women's Ordination Conference USA - June 2002

Wijngaards Institute for Catholic ResearchThis website is maintained by the Wijngaards Institute for Catholic Research.

The Institute is known for issuing academic reports and statements on relevant issues in the Church. These have included scholars' declarations on the need of collegiality in the exercise of church authority, on the ethics of using contraceptives in marriage and the urgency of re-instating the sacramental diaconate of women.

You are welcome to use our material. However: maintaining this site costs money. We are a Charity and work mainly with volunteers, but we find it difficult to pay our overheads.
