In 1987 we founded the charity Wells for India, which focuses on bringing water to a drought-stricken area of the Indian desert. We visit regularly and I have been able to link with women scholars in different parts of India. My interests are hill-walking, local history, writing poetry, exploring old Churches and playing the violin.
