Our women priests core team consists of eight members, six of whom work on a voluntary basis. Our members are: Sr. Anne Miller who heads our board of Trustees; John Wijngaards, honorary (unpaid) webmaster of the website; Jos our Webweaver and full-time administrator of our office; Roy Barton, researcher; Jackie Clackson, networking; Joanna Dixon, data base maintenance; Sr. Deirdre Ford, scanning; Barbara Paskins, web editing; and Mary Simpson, scanning.
Our Board of Academic Advisors includes ten scholars specialised in Sacred Scripture, dogmatic theology, church history, patristics and other branches of theology. They hail from universities and colleges in seven countries. They give their advice free of cost.
We have around 45 voluntary helpers from many countries who help us from home in many ways. The number fluctuates, but this will give an impression:
So altogether more than fifty people are working for this website on a voluntary basis. But they need the support of our office facilities.
This website is maintained by the Wijngaards Institute for Catholic Research.
The Institute is known for issuing academic reports and statements on relevant issues in the Church. These have included scholars' declarations on the need of collegiality in the exercise of church authority, on the ethics of using contraceptives in marriage and the urgency of re-instating the sacramental diaconate of women.
You are welcome to use our material. However: maintaining this site costs money. We are a Charity and work mainly with volunteers, but we find it difficult to pay our overheads.
Visitors to our website since January 2014.
